At Hickory Learning Group, we believe learning doesn't end when therapy ends.
It doesn't end at graduation.
And it shouldn't end when someone leaves the public school system.
That's why we're working to create the Hickory Learning Academy—an innovative educational program designed to provide meaningful learning opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout every stage of life.
Our vision is to build a place where individuals continue developing practical life skills, meaningful relationships, vocational abilities, and community connections in an environment that celebrates their strengths while promoting independence.

More Than a School
The Hickory Learning Academy is being designed as a place where learning has purpose.
Rather than focusing exclusively on academics, our program will emphasize the skills that lead to greater independence, meaningful participation, and an improved quality of life.
